MIDWEST ROAD TRIP - SPRING 2014
ST CLOUD MN
FARGO ND
AITKIN MN
Friday April 25th
Headed out from Wisconsin and got on the road... did a first overnight in Eau Claire WI (hotel 1)
Saturday April 26th
Headed over to Southern MN and visited with Cory and Sarah Anderson (Aprils cousin) for lunch
Headed out to St Cloud MN and arrived there around 5pm for dinner with the Beckers and Hansens
Presentation this evening with about 15 people in the Becker home
Sunday April 27th
Worshipped at Calvary Community Church, (Dave was youth pastor for 5 years) and reunited with several families and friends
This evening did a presentation with about 25 people hosted at the church... fun mixed group of young and old and special thanks to Jon Oettel for helping host
Monday April 28th
Dave had lunch and reunited with Josh Johnson (current youth guy at Calvary and former high school teen that Dave mentored)
Great evening meal with the Beckers and saying thanks for their hosting us in their home! (Great friends and our kids love them too)
Overnight in Hotel #2 in St Cloud
Tuesday April 29th
Dave had lunch with Exec pastor & Childrens pastor from Calvary and encouraged by their passion and perspective on missions.
Drove out of St Cloud and headed for Fargo, ND
Arrived at Bethel Eve Free Church, Fargo ND (where April used to attend and dad pastored for several years... Dave and April were married here) and met with missions board over dinner.
Very encouraged by the board as they came on as supporters for our ministry. Great prayer time and Emma sat through our whole presentation
Stayed overnight at Hotel #3 with great waterslide
Wednesday April 30th
Dave met with Pastor Paul Bond (from Bethel) to follow up on meeting from previous night... another encouraging time!
Dave met with another Fargo area pastor and had great discussion about our ministry and call to Mali
This evening we had a presentation at the Domitrovich home... good friends of April's family and many came from Bethel and Salem Eve Free
Spent the next 2 nights at the Skaff's home... a great blessing and fun place for the girls with lots of toys and GREAT food!!
Thursday May 1
Special lunch catching up with close friends (Troftgruben's) from Fargo
Evening presentation at a great prayer warriors home - Lenora Buck... several friends gathered for a fun evening in her home - thank you Lenora
Friday May 2
Briefly visited a dear friend Bonnie who ended up in hospital and couldnt make it to our presentation - Kylie prayed a special prayer for her!
Headed out to Aitkin MN... 3 hrs... arrived in time for their missions banquet and evening presentation at their church. Great group of people with memories of Dave's first ministry internship (14 years ago).
Overnighted with the Nix's... on a farm where Dave lived during his internship... Girls loved the animals and Dave had trips down memory lane
Saturday May 3
Headed out from the farm and stopped in the twin cities to meet with retired Avant missionaries to Mali. A HUGE blessing and so fun to meet them for the first time! We learned lots about the legacy of Avant in Mali and heard many new things! Thanks to Phil and Ev Anderson!
Arrived home around 9pm to Delavan... home sweet home... for now... to be sold and continued :)
